International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states and other entities on the global stage. It encompasses the analysis of foreign policy, diplomacy, conflict resolution, international organizations, and global issues such as trade, security, and human rights. The field examines how countries cooperate and compete; the roles of international law and norms; and the impact of non-state actors like multinational corporations and non-governmental organizations. IR draws from various disciplines, including history, political science, economics, and sociology, to understand the complexities of global interactions. It also explores concepts like power, nationalism, and global governance, aiming to address the challenges posed by globalization, interdependence, and transnational issues.
