Women’s Rights

Women’s rights refer to the legal and social principles that advocate for equal treatment and opportunities for women and girls in various aspects of life, including political, social, economic, and cultural arenas. This concept encompasses issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, the right to education, equal pay for equal work, freedom from violence and discrimination, and the right to participate in decision-making processes. Women’s rights are rooted in the belief that women should have the same rights as men and should be able to exercise those rights without fear of discrimination or oppression. The movement for women’s rights seeks to address historical and systemic inequalities affecting women and to promote policies that empower them and support their autonomy and well-being.
