Acne is very common at this age that it is considered a normal part of puberty. But knowing that doesn’t make it easier when you’re looking at a big pimple on your face in the mirror. Honey and cinnamon both have anti-bacterial properties which help in fighting acne and cleaning the dead skin cells. Mix one tablespoon of each together and apply all over your face. Wash off once it is dried.

Egg whites contain albumin and lysozyme, which have antiviral and antibacterial properties. Egg whites help in removing bacteria and cleans the pores. After you have separated the egg whites from two eggs, whisk the mix and apply evenly on your skin using a brush. Wash it properly after it is dried.

Tomato act as bleaching agents, which in turn can help lighten the tan, dark spots. Gram flour, on the other hand, helps absorb oil and helps remove any dirt or toxin from deep within the pores. Take two tablespoons of besan and squeeze out the juice of half a tomato. Mix well and apply it on your face evenly. Wash when it is dried.

Potato is very effective in treating discoloration. Honey contains anti-bacterial elements that provide soothing relief and helps fighting inflammation. Grate a raw potato to take out the juice and add a few drops of honey to it. Mix it well and apply this mixture directly onto your face.

Steaming is significant in opening up your pores and eliminating all the dirt, grime, and oil under the skin’s surface. Boil a cup of water then add few drops of tea tree oil or coconut oil if tea tree oil is not available and transfer the water into a bowl. Carefully place the bowl on a flat surface and lean towards the bowl. Use any cloth to create a tent over your face to prevent the steam from escaping. After 10-15 minutes, wipe your face with a clean cloth. Then wash it with cold water.

While turmeric is an excellent exfoliating agent and contains anti-bacterial properties, aloe vera helps soothe the skin due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Both when used together, help in fighting acne. Extract some fresh aloe vera gel from a cut leaf and add a pinch of turmeric. After mixing well, apply directly over the affected areas and leave on for 10-15 minutes to get dry.

Nutmeg contains essential oils, which is beneficial for the skin. It also has antiseptic properties that help in fighting acne. Milk, on the other hand, helps moisturize the skin. Take one teaspoon of nutmeg and mix it with one teaspoon of raw milk to make a thick paste. After 10-15 minutes, wash and wipe dry.

Acne-prone skin tends to be oily usually. Mix one tablespoon Multani mitti with a few drops of rose water and few drops of lemon juice. Mix well and make a thick paste and apply over your face. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash with a mild face wash.
