1. Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan ruled over Mongolia from 1206-1227. In his regime, he conquered a larger part of Asia and countless people. Historians estimated that in his tenure as emperor, he killed a total number of around 20-60 million people with the help of his army.

Timur was the cruelest ruler of the fourteenth century. He invaded western and central Asia. It was estimated by historians that he killed somewhere between 1 million to 17 million people during his campaigns.

3. Vlad The Impaler (Vlad Dracula)

Vlad ruled over Wallachia three times between 1448-1462. He was so cruel and sadistic in nature that he made mothers eat their roasted children; he also made husbands eat their wife’s breasts. He killed around twenty percent of the total population for his love of impaled heads.

10. Adolf Hitler

Hitler was probably the most creative, intelligent, decorative, and the most brutal leader of all time. He led the Nazi Party and was Germany’s chancellor from 1933 to 1945. He was responsible for the killing of over 50 million people (mostly Jews) through the Second World War, concentration camps, and the Holocaust. He almost vanished the Jewish race from the world. In the end, he committed suicide on 30th April 1945.

This Cambodian Revolutionary leader served his country as Prime Minister, for a short term of three years, i.e., from 1976 to 1979. Throughout his tenure, he was responsible for ordering mass genocide in Cambodia and killing over two million people.

13. Idi Amin Dada

Self-acclaimed Army Chief cum President of Uganda, Idi Amin, called himself a cannibal and was also pronounced the “Butcher of Uganda.” He was a sadistic ruler and liked to kill and torcher people. During his tenure (1971-1979), he killed almost half a million people.

14. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomenei

This stubborn, religious leader was the main body behind the Iranian Revolution. It was his stubborn character that led to the killing of more than two million people in the war with Iraq. He also executed the person pointing against his policies and religion.
