Top 15 Games That Have Found Their Niche

There are so many new games coming these days that we end up getting confused as to which ones to play and which ones to not. But I know what most people do; they go back to those old video games that had us in a chokehold when they were released and still have us cheering for them.

Here are the top 15 games that have found their niche:

1. Minecraft

This was the game that blew us 10 years ago and still blows us. Are you wondering why? Minecraft, known for its pixelated building blocks and open-ended play, makes you revel in it because of its build-your-own-world strategy.

2. Pac-man

This game was originally an arcade game, and people used to move their hands and legs to go to a mall and really play this game! So no wonder people will play it when they have it on their phones.

3. Grand Auto Theft

GTA, as otherwise known to us! This game’s target audience was the later teens, but it grabbed the attention of every age whatsoever. Grand Theft Auto is a series of action-adventure games. In the GTA-verse, players choose different missions and earn points by destroying parked vehicles, stealing cars, dealing drugs, etc.

4. League Of Legends

The League Of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena video game, also a team-based strategy game where two teams consisting of five powerful champions face off to destroy the other’s base. This game is right for showing some competitiveness.

5. Halo

This list is incomplete without a military science fiction media game. So here is Halo, an unequaled game where you fight off aliens and save the world.

6. Counter Strike

If you are a fan of killing terrorists and preventing assassination and mass bombing or releasing hostages, then CS is the right choice for you. It is a series of multiplayer first-person shooter video games in which terrorist-teams battle to perpetrate an act of terror.

7. Legend Of Zelda

Want to save a princess from a forbidden place? Then LOZ is all for you. The game is actually about a boy named Link, a commoner who has to save the princess, Zelda, from one evil or another. It is an RPG (role-playing game), so every decision you make affects the real game.

8. Assassin’s Creed

You want to travel in the past and change it for your present/near future, then play Assassin’s Creed. It follows the story of the industrial revolution, where you are one of the assassins trying to restore peace by killing the Templars who want to control others in order to restore peace.

9. Tetris

Without this game, this list would mean nothing. This game right here is the father of all games, and no game can ever bypass it. Tetris uses seven colored blocks that all fit together, so it seems that you can play the game forever and eventually win.

10. Super Mario

Do I need to say that this was going to be on the list? I think not! Mario saves Princess Toadstool (later known as Princess Peach) of the Mushroom Kingdom from King Koopa. There are not many new versions to it as the original one was enough, and I think you agree with me.

11. Call of duty

One more first-player shooting game! As we all know that there is no such thing as less shooting games. Call Of Duty first focused on games set in World War II. It has a high player count, which makes the game more fun.

12. Angry Birds

Just like the birds, everyone would be angry if I didn’t add this game! This is a casual puzzle video game; the main story of the game is that there would be 3-4 angry birds who try to free their eggs or small birds from pigs or wicked monkeys.

13. Takken

Yes, one more arcade game to prove that people are very lazy nowadays. It was the first game that had taken away focus from “special moves” to kicks and punches strung together in creative means in order to cause massive damage.

14. Pokémon (red/blue/silver)

Pokémon is the one and only game that can never lose its shine. And here, we are not talking about the very failed Pokémon go. We are talking about the Nintendo Switch, RPG, and other various platforms.

15. Sonic

And just like that, we have reached the end of the list! Sonic the Hedgehog is the fastest thing ever. This is a never-ending game, and one of the main reasons why people were attracted to it was its speed!

So we can conclude that all the above games were classics and will remain so, and people would still play them. If you are wondering why I haven’t included games like Fortnite, PUBG, or Animal Crossing, then the answer will be that these games are very new to this gaming industry and are not even close to getting their niche.

Of course, they are great, no arguments in that, but we were searching for THE legends of the community who have set a standard for us to really reach them again.
